Questions instructors actually ask
Is Bitepoint a CRM?
No. It is a diary for one instructor with one car. Lessons, pupils, who has paid and a money note. There is no invoicing, no online booking and no pupil login.
Where is my pupils' data stored?
On your phone. There is no account and no server, so it never reaches us, though your phone's own iCloud or Google backup may include it. Tap Back up now in Settings whenever you like to save everything as one file, and bring it back on a new phone with Settings → Restore, spreadsheets & more → Import from a file.
What does it cost?
Nothing on the web while it is in testing. On the App Store and Google Play the first five pupils are free, and a one-off payment unlocks the rest. There is no subscription and there never will be.
Do my pupils need to install anything?
No. You send lesson times, tomorrow's reminder or a progress update through WhatsApp or any share sheet. They get a message and nothing to install.
Does it cover manual and automatic?
Both. Each pupil is tagged manual or automatic, and you set a default when you first open the app.
Is there an Android version?
Yes. The Android app is on Google Play now, in the UK. The iPhone app is coming soon to the App Store. The web version already runs on either.
Can I move over from another diary app?
Not automatically yet. Import from other diaries is on the list for the next version. For now you add pupils by hand, which for most single-car instructors takes under an hour.
